Lucy & The Love Letters isn’t just a band — it is a living, breathing love story written in sweet melodies, powerful memories, and meaningful words.
Hello! My name is Lucy Becker and I want to welcome you to Lucy & The Love Letters. Music has always been the language I speak best, and every song I write is a piece of that story.
I’d like to tell you a little about how this band came to be. My band emerged from an unexpected spark: a songwriting assignment at Morehead State University that ignited a lifelong obsession with turning emotion into music. From that very first tune, I knew that I was meant to write more than just songs — I was meant to write love letters in sound.
Based in Kentucky, Lucy & The Love Letters weave a spellbinding blend of jazz, pop, and even elements of Americana, dripping with sultry undertones and an unapologetically unique flair. My band features rotating musicians, each bringing their own flavors, influences, and sonic secrets to the stage. No two shows sound the same — and that’s the point! It’s not JUST a band. It’s an experience.
Our debut performance took place inside the cozy magic of Hidden Chapter Bookstore in Ft. Thomas, KY. Just two months later, Lucy & The Love Letters headlined the New Year’s Eve celebration at 21C Museum & Hotel in Lexington, partnering with Sora Aerial Arts for a fully immersive night of music, movement, and enchantment.
Our artistry has also earned critical recognition, with me (Lucy Becker) receiving Strings Player of the Year at the Lexington Music Awards in both 2024 and 2025, and the band being named Best Jazz/Big Band/Latin/World Act at the 2026 Lexington Music Awards.
Our first single “Sweetest Shade Of Rose” released on August 29th, 2025 and is available to stream on all platforms.
Lucy & The Love Letters doesn’t just play music.
Music has been my way of listening and relating closely to the world, of noticing the beauty tucked into ordinary days and turning it into something that lingers long after the last note. I hope you enjoy!
